Volume 2.'' Moscow, Soviet artist, 1979. P.145.〕 regarded as one of the leading representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting,〔''Sergei V. Ivanov. Unknown Socialist Realism. The Leningrad School.''- Saint Petersburg: NP-Print Edition, 2007. – pp. 9, 19-22, 24, 366, 389-396, 398-400, 402-406.〕 most famous for his landscape paintings. In painting the author captures the view of the high bank of the Volkhov River in the Staraya Ladoga with the Church of St John the Baptist, with the Chapel of St Paraskeva and bell tower.
